Integration Utility for Microsoft Windows (OLD)

Requirements

Ports and protocols used:

  • 5061
  • HTTPS 443 (or Custom secure port, if “External secure port” is enabled in WMS Settings > PBX > SIP-RTP)

OS requirements:

  • Windows 7, 8.1, 10 (32 and 64 bit)

Installation

Download

Go to Wildix Collaboration Settings > Extensions and click to install “TAPI driver”.

Packet contents and location

Folder location:

  • Program files (x86)\Wildix\ (for 32 bit OS)
  • Program files\Wildix\ (for 64 bit OS)

The package includes:

  • tsp (TAPI) driver/li>
  • Google Chrome web browser (optional)

Installation

Install the application:

  1. click on the downloaded file to start the installation

  3. click “Next” and follow the Setup Wizard

  5. during the installation you are invited to additionally install Google Chrome web browser: tick off the applications you would like to install and click “Install”

  7. during the installation you are invited to enter your Account settings; you must at least fill in the “Server settings” (to fill in all the settings, see the chapter “Settings”)
    • CTI Server: enter your PBX IP address or host nameNote: You can specify the external secure port in this format: [PBX_IP]:[port], as shown on the screenshotExternal secure port can be enabled in WMS Settings > PBX > SIP-RTP
    • CTI login: enter your extension number or login / user name / email address
    • Password: enter your web password for WMS / Collaboration access

  8. when the installation process is finished, you can Launch Integration Utility

Note: Collaboration must be running in Google Chrome web browser, when you launch the application, it automatically opens Collaboration in the default browser

To make sure that the installation and configuration process was successful, check that the W icon is present in the lower right part of the toolbar and it shows “TAPI line [extension] connected”:

Settings

Settings are entered during the installation, after the installation you can edit these settings at any time: Right-click on the W icon in the lower right part of the toolbar and select “Settings”

Note: Double click on the W icon opens Wildix Collaboration; click “About” to see the current version.

Server settings

  • CTI Server: enter your PBX IP address or host name
  • Phone number: enter your extension number
  • Password: enter your web password for WMS / Collaboration access
  • Check for updates: allows you to check any moment if there is a newer version available

Call generation

Support of URI for call generation

Thanks to URI support it is possible to generate a call by clicking on a link containing a phone number.

After you have clicked on a phone number link for the first time, select the Wildix Integration Utility for call generation (you can enable the option to always use this application for call generation).

Supported links:

  • <a href=”tel:[phone_number]”>
  • <a href=”sip:[phone_number]”>
  • <a href=”wildix:[phone_number]”>
  • <a href=”callto:[phone_number]”>

where [phone_number] parameter can also start with “+”;

Call generation from Microsoft Outlook and TAPI enabled applications

note: Outlook pre 2013 is supported, to place calls from Outlook versions starting from 2013, check “Outlook integration Beta

TAPI driver allows you to place calls from Microsoft Outlook contacts and TAPI enabled applications:

Note: the first time you use the feature, Outlook will ask your confirmation to select the correct Line from Dialing Options:

Remember to set the dialing patterns according to your dialplan in order to have the right prefix to access the outgoing line.
